Cube transforms a former garage into a vibrant, versatile space open to all, focused on artistic creation, sports, and intergenerational exchange. Designed to encourage social diversity and civic participation, it becomes a gathering point at the heart of the neighborhood.
The identity and spatial qualities of the existing building are preserved. The façade, unified by color, emphasizes the public character of the Cube and makes it visible from the street.
Interventions focus on essentials: comfort, safety, and functionality. Natural light and transparency animate the spaces, while partitions remain minimal to offer flexible volumes.
Uses are distributed according to needs and acoustic constraints. On the ground floor, a bright multipurpose space accommodates various activities. In the basement, the performing arts area and physical development space benefit from light wells and generous volumes. Offices and administrative spaces on the first floor are arranged in a domestic and welcoming manner.
The existing structure is leveraged to create open, adaptable spaces. Each zone can easily accommodate different uses. Cube thus becomes a dynamic and inspiring place where creativity, sports, and social interaction combine to strengthen connections between generations and community members.
