The new logistics site of the Brussels Cleaning Agency (ABP) illustrates how industrial spaces along the Brussels Canal can be reinvented to positively transform the city. Located near the Buda Bridge, this innovative timber construction blends harmoniously into the urban landscape, creating warm atmospheres and comfortable spaces in the heart of an industrial setting.

The site includes logistics halls, a sorting center, a social building with offices and amenities, a parking area for vehicles, as well as a public-access recycling container park.
Organized into four longitudinal strips, it features a ‘hard’ strip for trucks, a ‘building’ strip visible from the Canal, a ‘green’ strip with water management and a public esplanade, and a separate strip for the container park.

Structure
The timber structure, with its trusses and CLT floors, reduces the carbon footprint while offering modular flexibility. The wooden trusses extend into a large lattice structure along the Canal, creating a distinctive urban interface.
